Cotton is a cash crop. It is a member of the Malvaceae family. There are 2 varieties of this in the world.  The first is known as indigenous cotton (Gaspium arborium) and (Ga; herbarium) and the second is known as American cotton (Ga, Hirsutum) and (Barvedens).  Cotton is prepared from this, which is called white gold.  Cotton plants are multi-year, brood-like trees with a length of 2–7 feet.  The flowers are white or light yellow. Capas fruits are called balls, which are smooth and greenish yellow, on top of which the bracteoles have a thorn-like structure. The fruit has seeds and cotton inside.  Black soil is required for cotton crop production. Gujarat has the highest cotton production in India.  Textiles made from cotton are called cotton textiles.  Cotton mainly consists of cellulose.
